ALMOND SPRAYER/SPRAYING

Orchard Tech is currently recruiting for the vacant position of almond sprayer. The prime responsibility of this designation is to coordinate and execute pesticide applications in a safe and effective manner. The candidate will also be responsible for operating complex equipment as well as managing several elements of the application process. This position may require the candidate’s extensive services during high seasonal demands. Weekly work hours may exceed 40 hours. The majority of the workload will be handled outdoors, on, and around commercial agriculture equipment and machinery.

Candidates are informed that the duty shifts are not fixed. Hence, you may be asked to work morning or night shifts. Also, employees need to possess their own transport. This position is a temporary, casual opportunity.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Mix, load, and apply pesticides onto fields in accordance with label required rates and procedures 
• Coordinate delivery of pesticide product to field locations
• Serves as primary sprayer for all farm locations

After successful completion of the interview, the candidate will be offered employment on the basis under the Horticulture Award 2010 rates.
